Busy few days but business fel off a bit at the end of the week, I deserve that as I know Monday is going to be chaos again.
I took Liam and his mate, Keith, for a good meal in the Crows Nest on Friday night that was really surprisingly good fun.
Saturday morning, we got up quite early and had breakfast outside on the sea front at the end of Portland sea defence wall at a great new restauraunt called Quiddles with Amanda & Brian. Fabulous food in fabulous sunshine with a fabulous view, however, the wind meant that all the food cooled a little too quickly, it is October after all.
After breakfast we went for a look around the sailing academy and had a coffee there, Brian hadn't seen around it even though he works next door, I think I talked him into taking a sailing course, he was suitably impressed with the facility being improved for the Olympics in 2012.
I've made a mental note to try to get Quiddles, the Sailing academy and sail laser, the sailing school, onto www.Weymouth.co.uk
Last week I asked Joe Foot if he knew who the farmer was who owns the field on the corner of Dorchester roundabout so I could contact him about writing www.Weymouth.co.uk on the big black bails that he stores in the field in full view of the A35 and guess what? Joe contacted the chap who has agreed providing I can get permission from the council as they complained last time so I'm on the mission.
Saturday Afternoon I played for Weymouth Hockey Club 2nds against Yateley 2nds who arrived and looked very professional about it all. We ended up with a 2-2 draw, because we had a full team I was allowed to play up front which is great if you get the ball passed to you, I was given a few opportunities and on the last the ball popped out of a bad tackle in front of me and i simply hit it as hard as i can and the keeper, who was having a good game, didn't see it as the ball rocketed high up into the side netting, my 5th goal of the season.
Off to watch liam play footy this afternoon, fingers crossed for him.
