View Article  An away win at last

Weymouth Hockey Club 2nds have won a game away from home! fantastic, we beat Southampton Uni 1-0 over there. A great win and everyone worked very hard for it, Man of the Match was Dan Dukes after only touching the ball once but it was a great save. A shot to top right of the goal and it looked in all the way until the last millisecond when he made a reaction stick flip up and deflected the ball over the bar.

Can't make training on wednesday because Julian and I are holding a seminar for local hotels and B&B's on marketing, we've invited plenty of weymouth hoteliers and we've coupled up with some other local businesses that can offer them useful services. Fingers crossed, might get some website work out of it.

View Article  Deathly hush over britain

How mad is this, the moment the news announces a recession everyone puts away their credit cards! Business went really quiet for about 2 weeks but seems to be back to normal again now.

I've been getting quite a few orders for Wills through each day this week but the previous 2 weeks hardly anything, still we've been working hard on our Search Engine Optimisation and we'll be in a great place by the new year we're sure!

Yesterday I forgot that I was expecting a visit and only got to the front door to answer it by accident, I've got to do something about that or get premises permanently manned in town somewhere! Any way, my visitor was Susie Clowes who's a local artist and we've just done a website for her, go on take a look!

Other than that, Julz has been working hard building up a couple of sites that we think will get big in the future, one is designed to take on the Estate Agents in the Dorset area and the other is to commercialise when the Olympics arrives as Dorset Council seem to be promoting Portland Harbour as much as they are Weymouth, which is both obvious and a good thing.

Today I'm in the office, writing wills and updating a load of websites, hockey practice tonight, better go even though I don't feel like it at the moment, I know I need the excersize!

Here's a pic of Liam with a Tortoise, just thought you'd like to see it, he found it wandering wild on holiday in Greece, apparently that's common out there, it was certainly warm enough!

Oh well, I've told them that I'm too old for 1st team hockey but I was still called up to play away at New Milton for Weymouth 1sts! I managed to prove my warning right as we went down to the home side 5-1.

2 players sent off, the right wing I was marking went round me on the half way line and by the time i'd turned around he was in our D! he was about 25 years younger than me!

Mary's birthday today which is more important! I've bought her a camera, 1 years gym membership (because she keeps complaining about being over weight) and a silver bracelet because she loves her silver!

Smashing day here, had a lie in then did a quickie shop at asda's now I'm home watching sunday footy with Liam. He's got a football match over on Portland this afternoon so Mary's made him some food to eat in preparation. We're expecting my Mum & Dad around to say happy birthday to Mary, then we've got to go and pick up Liam's friend Keith and get off to the match.

Having a roast when we get home after that, not a brilliant birthday for Mary but the best we can do with all the things we have to fit in each weekend.

View Article  Weekend off Hockey

It's been a couple of weeks but after the Hamble game e took on another team, really well organised and professional looking at home, fortress Weymouth. I played really well as did the rest of the team, they went 1 goal ahead right at the start and it took us until the last minute to get a goal back and hold out for the draw. A well deserved point.

Last weekend I didn't play any hockey, Mary and I had a weekend without Liam, and as her birthday is coming up, I took her to Bournemouth & Poole shopping. She enjoyed the day but didn't feel that good, she still managed to buy quite a few bits of clothing and a pair of boots though!

I bought a couple of books, a habit I need to get out of, recession coming I should use the Library, new years resolution? who knows?

Arranged to go to Anya's in December, looking forward to seeing her in her new home, however temporary it is.
