I’m well aware there’s a massive debate between League and Union so in the interest of having a balanced view I thought I’d watch this match between England and Lebanon. England were favourites and are winning convincingly but what I’m astonished at is how dull it is to watch.
Virtually no individual skills on display, no prolonged moments of effort and struggle, just big guys lining up opposite each other, bravely running into each other but it stops there, that’s it!
I know there’ll be many people who disagree with me but seriously, give me Union every time!
