I’ll be very honest and say that I can’t remember much about school in Guisborough, North Yorkshire.
I seem to remember that it had an outbuilding that resembled a large fibreglass greenhouse and inside that was a swimming pool which was above ground, not dug into the ground, even then at 5 years old I thought that was odd. I remember to get into it I had to climb up freezing cold steps on the outside. This was Yorkshire in the winter, what were the school up to, trying to give us all pneumonia???
The only other thing I can remember was my only friend from Yorkshire that I remember the name of, Tony Sawney, he was a best mate type and I used to go round his house to play, he had cool different toys. My sister was mates with his sister too, Jackie, they had horses together called Tom (ours) & Jerry (theirs). All very odd.
